How to Apply for Malawi eVisa

• Confirm if you are eligible for the Malawi eVisa based on your nationality. 
• The passport you will be using is valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date in Malawi.
• You have all the documents that are required for eVisa application. 
• If your nationality is not eligible for eVisa, check visa exemption or embassy options.

Prepare clear digital scans (not camera photos):

1. Passport bio-data page (full colour, all edges and MRZ visible)
2. Recent digital photograph (plain light background, full face clear)
3. Signed cover letter from your host in Malawi. It must include host name, contact details, host’s address, purpose and duration of visit.

6. Business eVisa
   • Validity: 90, 180, 1 year
   • Stay Duration: 30 days
   • Entry Type: Single, Multiple Entry

Its validity starts from the date of issue, not your arrival date.

• Travel only after your eVisa is approved.
• Carry the printed eVisa with the same passport used for the application.

Have these details ready from your passport:

1. Full name, date of birth, nationality
2. Passport number, issue and expiry dates

Tip: Keep your passport open while filling the form to avoid typing errors.

Step 1: Fill Out the Visa Application and Upload Documents

Provide passport and travel details exactly as they appear in your passport. Choose the correct visa type and upload clear scanned copies of the required documents

Step 2: Pay the Fee and Receive Confirmation

Pay the Malawi eVisa fee with a credit/debit card, paypal or cryptocurrency. Once payment is received, payment confirmation email is send to the applicant.

Step 3: Receive the Approved eVisa

When approved, download the eVisa approval letter from the registered email ID. Print a copy to present on arrival in Malawi.

• Continue with the remaining steps,make the required payment and submit your application
